Every academic study conducted on the subject concludes that access to the water at training organisations dramatically improves outcomes for young people.
As well as providing opportunities for young people to discover the yachting sector, we can create new, sustainable pathways into the industry for young people from all backgrounds. The yachting industry is little known outside its traditional locations and demographics. We need to open it up.
Yachting Opportunities Training & Skills (YOTS) is a foundation dedicated to engaging the entire superyachting community to this end.
The YOTS foundation is determined to providing young people with opportunities to;
- Access the water in order to develop yachting-related skills
- Engage in training in anticipation of a career in the yachting sector
- Undertake work placements and internships at yachting companies
WHO IS IT FOR?
With this new foundation, we seek to primarily engage young people whose access to the water is limited, either due to location or disadvantage. The YOTS Foundation will support and help fund organisations working in communities to enhance opportunities for young people.
MEET THE TRUSTEES
Our experienced and passionate team is dedicated to achieving The YOTS Foundation’s goal of nurturing the next generation and forging new opportunities for young people within the superyacht industry.
